Removal of thorium(IV) ions from aqueous solution by polyacrylamide-based monoliths: equilibrium, kinetic and thermodynamic studies

نویسندگان

چکیده

In this study, a series of macroporous polyacrylamide-based monoliths bearing negatively charged interaction sites were synthesized as adsorbents for effective removal Th4+ from aqueous solutions. The effects solution pH, contact time, monolith dosage, initial concentration, and temperature on adsorption process was studied. Langmuir, Freundlich, Dubinin–Raduskevich isotherms applied to describe the data. equilibrium data best fitted with both Freundlich Langmuir models. experimental kinetic well described by pseudo-second order kinetic. Thermodynamic studies revealed that onto an endothermic spontaneous process.

Removal of phenol from aqueous solution by adsorption onto seashells: equilibrium, kinetic and thermodynamic studies

The efficacy of seashells as a new adsorbent for removal of phenol from aqueous solutions was studied by performing batch equilibrium tests under different operating parameters such as solution pH, adsorbent dose, initial phenol concentration, and temperature. The phenol removal efficiency remained unaffected when the initial pH of the phenol solution was in the range of 3–8. The amount of phen...

Application of Magnetic-modified Fe3O Nanoparticles for Removal of Crystal Violet from Aqueous Solution: Kinetic, Equilibrium and Thermodynamic Studies

The prepared magnetic-modified Fe3 O4 nanoparticles (Fe3 O4 -TAN) were used as adsorbent for removal of crystal violet (CV) from water solution. The effects of pH, contact time, dye concentration and temperature on adsorption were determined. The experimental data were analyzed using the Langmuir adsorption model. The data fitted well to the model with maximum adsorption capacities 84.0 mg/gund...
